Agreement signed during visit by French president Macron.
FlyOne Armenia has signed an agreement to acquire a pair of Airbus A321neo twinjets, during a visit to Armenia by French president Emmanuel Macron.
The airline secured an air operator’s certificate in October 2021 and is based at Yerevan’s Zvartnots airport.
It is affiliated with the European carrier FlyOne which was founded in Moldova in 2016.
It carries out scheduled and charter services to destinations in Europe, the Middle East and the former Soviet states.
FlyOne Armenia operates a handful of Airbus single-aisle jets.
The airline states that it has reached an agreement with the airframer for two A321neos, and that the deal was signed in the presence of Macron and Armenian president Nikol Pashinyan.
“This is a historic milestone for both our company and Armenian aviation,” says the carrier’s chief, Aram Khachatryan.
No engine selection for the jets has been disclosed.
FlyOne Armenia says the agreement will enable it to strengthen its route network and reinforce its positioning the international market.
