Body temperatue fluctuates throughout the day. Generally speaking our bodies are cooler in the morning than they are at night. That means if you’re trying to figure out whether or not you have a temperature, and your current temp is an edge case, the best practice is to take your temperature a few times throughout the day. If you find ourself in that situtation, this project from Brent Rubell will be a big help. Using a Adafruit Feather nRF52840 Sense and an MCP9808 High Accuracy I2C Temperature Sensor Breakout Board to ccreate a wearable continue temperature monitor.
Her’es more from the Adafruit Learning System:
This armband continuously monitors body temperature while you sleep. You can monitor temperature hands-free from another device, even if you’re in a different room.
You can monitor temperature for up to 8 hours on a full charge (tested on a 3.3V 400mAh lipoly battery, data sent to Adafruit IO once every minute). Data is sent to your Adafruit IO account for long-term storage and visualization. Use Adafruit IO Triggers to be notified by email when the temperature increases past a set threshold.
