Discover Airlines to enter UK market with three new routes

Lufthansa Group unit will launch flights to Bristol, Glasgow and Inverness in 2027.
German leisure carrier Discover Airlines will add the UK to its network for the first time next summer with the launch of seasonal flights to Bristol, Glasgow and Inverness.

The Lufthansa Group unit will begin a six-times-weekly service from Frankfurt to Glasgow on 29 March. It will also serve the Scottish city from Munich – a route previously operated by Lufthansa – with up to two flights a week from 16 May.

Discover Airlines will also begin flights from Frankfurt to Bristol in May, while the Frankfurt-Inverness route will operate weekly from 19 June.

The carrier will deploy Airbus A320 aircraft on all four routes. No other scheduled airline currently operates nonstop flights on any of the city pairs.

“We see a clear trend towards nature, outdoor activities and trips that combine culture and landscape – our three new destinations perfectly reflect this trend,” states Discover Airlines chief commercial officer Marco Gotz.
