Sure you could just buy lights for your bicycle, but isn’t life that much more enjoyable when you make your own? We certainly think so. There are few feelings that compare to replying to a compliment with a simple, “Thanks, I made it!” Here at Adafruit we’ve dabbled in some bicycle based projects:
- LED Bicycle Handlebars
- Bluetooth Cycling Speed & Cadence Sensor Display with Clue
- Circuit Playground Bike Light
- SpokePOV

Instructables user goldscrew made this blinking bicycle light:
Sometimes, when you ride a bike in the dark night. It will be very dangerous if you do not have warning devices for other vehicles such as: Reflective clothing, flashing/Blinking lights…
So, today I will show you how to make your own flashing/Blinking with IC NE555. You can attach this device to your helmet or wear it on your arm while cycling at night.
You are free to be creative and make any shape for these LED lights, like heart, star, circle….
