Adafruit Forums user Mdcpool posted they had made a dress of a “rock face and trees” and wanted LED lights to imitate flowing water. With some help from Adafruit support staff, they zeroed in on exactly the parts they would need and a few tweaks to code already provided in the Adafruit Learning System to ensure any light flashing would not trigger those that are medically sensitive.
The dress was a Multnomah Falls costume for the 20th Anniversary of the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer, at the Forever Twilight in Forks Festival in Forks, Wa. She won Best Craftsmanship!
After the contest, they went by Multnomah Falls and took a picture of the costume there as well (see below). Multnomah Falls Lodge entered this photo into their contest.
