Shadow EW can be integrated with a range of small platforms.
BAE Systems has launched a family of small form factor electronic warfare (EW) systems that can be used in both crewed and uncrewed aircraft.
The Shadow EW Family comprises three distinct systems suited to “small airborne platforms,” says the company.
“The modern battlefield is changing at an unprecedented pace and all platforms, regardless of size, require adaptable electronic warfare capabilities to survive,” says Rebecca Cruz, Director, Shadow EW products at BAE Systems.
“Shadow EW solutions provide flexible, configurable hardware paired with iterative software updates to counter rapidly evolving threats.”
In a promotional video, BAE Systems indicates that Shadow EW can be integrated into platforms such as glide bombs, UAVs, and rotorcraft.
The company also indicates that the Shadow EW range can be produced affordably at scale, and that they can support mission requirements such as situational awareness, targeting, deception, survivability, “collaborative effects delivery.”
