Firm agreements for cargo twinjet reach 115 after deal finalised in August.
Airbus has disclosed an order for eight A350 freighters, as the initial test aircraft nears its maiden flight.
The agreement – firmed on 31 August – has been listed in the airframer’s latest backlog figures, attributed to an unidentified customer.
It brings the total number of A350F orders to 115 aircraft.
Airbus has rolled out the first of two test aircraft for the A350F programme, but has yet to specify a date for the cargo type’s maiden flight.
The airframer’s August activity featured Air China’s agreement for 15 A350-900s, as well as the 40 A321neos for its subsidiary Shenzhen Airlines.
Airbus also listed four A220-300s for an undisclosed customer.
The activity brought to 1,091 the company’s net order total for the first eight months of the year.
Airbus has delivered 475 aircraft over the same period, compared with 434 at the same point in 2025.
