Aircraft will add capacity for the two carriers, which are new customers for the wet-lease operator, over the summer season.
FlyOne Armenia and Romanian carrier Tarom have each signed an agreement with wet-lease specialist Avion Express for the provision of an Airbus A320 over the summer.
Avion Express says the two carriers are new customers.
The Lithuanian ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance) provider will station one A320 in Yerevan to support FlyOne and another in Bucharest to support Tarom.
“We’re proud of our long-standing partners and equally excited to welcome new ones,” says Avion Express in a LinkedIn post. “Every new partnership brings a fresh challenge, a new way to adapt and another opportunity to provide reliable support.”
Avion Express, which is part of Avia Solutions Group, recently launched a wet-lease carrier in Brazil.
The company has been expanding into Latin American and Asian markets to balance seasonal demand, after divesting its Latvian division of SmartLynx and unveiling plans to merge the carrier’s Estonian and Maltese units.
