Planning a social media campaign can seem overwhelming at times, but once you’ve wrapped your mind around the basics it all becomes fairly easy
In this article, I’ll be walking you through the basic of planning a social media campaign, but for a real success you should work also alongside a professional that will help you build your entire campaign from establishing your objectives to working with admirable influencers, and planning a beautiful Instagram feed that actually sells.
Once you’ve gotten through this initial stage it becomes relatively easy to move into the planning stages, which will help you decide what type of social media accounts to create, how to interact with your audience, and ultimately what platforms you’ll use to promote your campaign.
To make this process as streamlined as possible, I’ve been using an app called HootSuite since it allows me to plan out my campaigns in an easy to manage dashboard. Planning a social media campaign shouldn’t be hard, and by understanding your objectives, creating goals, and tracking your progress you’ll be able to move through the various stages with ease.

The first thing you’ll want to do is to determine your goals for your campaign. What do you want to accomplish? Do you want to launch video content on YouTube or Facebook, increase our twitter following, take more surveys on Facebook, or build up a website with an opt-in page for visitors? If you have a specific outcome in mind, it makes it easier to organize your activities.
Once you have a clear idea of the goals for your campaign, it’s time to start working on the creative direction. Here, you’ll need to use influencers to help you with the creative aspect of your account.
For example, if you’re creating an Instagram feed for an affiliate product, you might want to hire an account manager to help you plan and execute the creative direction. Hootsuite provides a great way to manage your account and handle the management of influencers so that you can focus on the other aspects of your account such as marketing, analytics, and reporting.
